  1. Jan 27, 2008  Unchecking all songs on itunes? Can i uncheck all of the songs and then recheck them all? I have 1100 songs and i only want about 100, but i dont want to have to uncheck them all individually. How can i uncheck all then select the ones i want? Source(s): unchecking songs itunes: 0 0 0.
  2. Apr 17, 2019  As for the matter of how to uncheck songs in iTunes, you can actually make it easily by referring to the steps shown below. Run latest version of iTunes on your computer. Click on one playlist under the menu of “Playlists” in iTunes left sidebar. In the left part of the iTunes window, you will see all the songs in the playlist.

Careful, though, as you can also uncheck all the items in your entire library, if you’re in your main track list view. The second way is a bit more selective. While in any list view, simply Command-click non-contiguous items or shift click blocks of contiguous items in the iTunes window. The songs I would uncheck would be skits on hip-hop/rap albums and I have a few theme songs from movies or tv shows I would also uncheck. I would then select the 'Only sync checked songs' option in iTunes so I would only have to plug my iPod in and it would automatically sync my library except for those that were unchecked. Jan 20, 2020  To select contiguous items, click the item at the beginning of the group you want to uncheck, hold Shift, then click the item at the end. All the songs in between will get checkmarks. To select non-contiguous items, hold down Command on a Mac or Control on a PC and click each item you want to check or uncheck. Open up Serato software. Uncheck and recheck the 'Show iTunes Library' checkbox in the Setup screen. Your iTunes library should now display with all updated tags in Serato DJ. Missing almost all tags on your songs after using iCloud Music Library? This is caused by iTunes Match, which is a part of the iCloud Music Library service Apple provide.

Basic iTunes Tips
iTunes Store
iTunes Music

iTunes is an application used by millions of users everyday to store, manage, and play your favorite music tracks. If you have the app installed on your computer, you are likely using it for your music management and to play your music tracks. If the app has been there for a long time, you may have added a number of music tracks to it without ever counting the number of those tracks.

Sometimes, you may want to just figure out how many songs you have in the app on your computer. Maybe you need to tell someone of the number of songs you have in iTunes or maybe you need the number for your own information. Either way, you are going to need to find the exact number.

How To Uncheck All Songs In Itunes Library On Mac Computer

Rob and I discussed this this morning. This feature has been available in iTunes since version 4.8, May 9, 2005.

I never understood this feature.
If you have songs you don't want to hear (and therefore 'uncheck'), why do you bother having them in your library? Or, why not set up a playlist excluding those? (or did I just answer my own question..)
I didn't understand the star system either (how 'good' a song is seems to change constantly with the # of listens) until I assigned the following semantic meaning to each number of stars:
***** - Can play at a party, has timeless popular appeal, possibly too cheesy for regular listening
**** - I am in a minority of people who really like this song, but damn it, it is good
*** - Others say this song is good, but I have yet to check it out and have an opinion on it
** - (no meaning attributed yet)
* - There is a problem with the encoding of this song, its tag information, or it is scratchy or otherwise imperfect; fix it (this is how I indicate to my desktop from my iPod which tracks need to be looked at, since the rating synchronizes)

In /dev/null, no one can hear you scream

I use the uncheck feature to exclude things from importing to my ipod.

The problem with the 'uncheck' is that it also prevents songs from being played in playlists and such. The only way you can play an unchecked song in iTunes itself is to directly choose the song.
I really wish Apple would provide a separate flag for 'on iPod'. Their checkbox serves a dual purpose, unfortunately.

For these users it is advisable to download a library snapshot and add these libs to kicad via the footprint library manager found in the preferences menu of pcbnew and the footprint editor. This might not be right for every user. Kicad adding libraries on mac os. They are setup to use on demand download from github (via the github plugin).

If you have songs you don't want to hear (and therefore 'uncheck'), why do you bother having them in your library?
(I guess the same could be asked about my carefully preserved piles of MacWorld back-issues I never re-read.) I believe the enabled check box was originally designed for excluding CD tracks from being imported. Likewise, un-enabled library tracks will be ignored when converting or when copying to other devices. It has always been a feature of iTunes (though not SoundJam). Rarely are legacy features removed from an application.

I use the check/uncheck for several reasons:
1. I keep a large library of sound effects, and I never want them played unless I specifically want to use them for something.
2. I own songs that have explicit lyrics that I don't want popping up when my kids play any smart list by genre--like Prince's B-sides, or just about any hip-hop these days. It's also nice to know 'Because I Got High' by Afroman won't play in my 'Pop' playlist when the in-laws are visiting.
3. I teach music and use iTunes to control a number of accompaniments, and don't want those to show up in a random party shuffle.
4. Just because I own a song doesn't mean I want to hear it. I have lots of concert recordings that I keep for archival purposes, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to them.

You can also command-click in one of the song check-boxes to select/deselect everything in the current window (same as iCal calendars).

Wow. If this feature had arrived sooner, it would have saved my last relationship. The argument went something like this:
GF: How do I uncheck all these songs, so my iPod mini won't try to load them?
me: The only thing you can do is Command-click to check or uncheck everything in the list.
GF: <click> OH MY GOD. It just unchecked EVERYTHING in the list.
me: Yes, that's what I just told you it did.
GF: But that's not what I wanted!! YOU JUST DON'T LISTEN TO ME.
me: Er, no, YOU didn't listen..
You get the picture. Apparently women really ARE from Venus.

Off topic but I just discover, last night (sigh), that when you are in the 'main songs listing' (i.e. not in any playlists) and you want to know to which playlist this song belong, just right-click (or cmd-click) and in the sub-menu, you will find a selction called 'Playlists' which list all the playlists that contain that song..
Ok, everyone knew that (including me) but was I found out is when you select one of those listed playlists it shows you selected playlist whith the song higlited. Now that helps a lot when you want to do some rearrangement!
