Unhide the Library Folder PermanentlyIf you don’t want to open “Go To Folder” every time you want to access the Library, you can unhide the folder for good. As you can see, the icon for the Library folder is faded, which means the folder itself is still hidden. You can also skip all this clicking by pressing Command+Shift+G on your keyboard to access the Go to Folder menu.Type /Library in the box and hit Enter. The “” is the universal UNIX symbol for the current user’s home folder, and “Library” is the sub-folder you’re trying to open. When you hit enter, you will see the Library folder. From here you can make whatever changes you wanted to make. Hey Andy,
Here are very specific instructions on moving a library from one internal drive to another:
There are a few steps to this process. First is to move your music from your old computer to the new one. Next is to move the ScratchLIVE folder from the 'My Music' folder (PC) or 'Music' folder (Mac) to the same location on the new computer. Last is to use the relocate lost files feature to calculate the location of the files on the new computer.
Step 1: Move your music library.
This pretty self explanatory. Copy your files to an external drive or put them on a cd/dvd to transport the files from the old computer to the next.
Place the files on your new computer wherever your wanting them to live.
Step 2: Move the ScratchLIVE folder.
Like I stated above, move the ScratchLIVE folder from the 'My Music' folder (PC) or 'Music' folder (Mac) to the same location on the new computer. If you already have a ScratchLIVE folder on the new computer than replace it with this one.
Step 3: Use the 'Relocate lost files' feature to have SSL find the files on your new drive.
Note: First make sure to unplug the external drive you might have used to move your library from the old internal to the new one.
Then..
1. Open SSL.
2. Click on the 'files' tab.
3. Click on the 'relocate lost files' tab in the lower left corner of the 'files' window.
That will find the location of the files on your drive and you should be good to go!

Nov 20, 2009  Moving library from PC to MAC. What I really want to do, if possible, is locate the Serato library on my pc - copy it to my external hard drive - copy the library onto my mac, then let serato (on my mac) scan the library and add all the tracks and crates ect.

Step 17: Drag and drop or copy and paste the iTunes from the parent folder to your external hard drive to backup your library. Backup iTunes to External Hard Drive on Mac. Having used your Mac for some time, you are likely to have several music files on your computer backing up your data is advisable. Nov 10, 2019  iTunes will load that library and automatically adjust its settings to make that the default iTunes folder while you're using it. Assuming you followed all the steps in the backup process (most importantly consolidating and organizing your library), you'll be able to use your iTunes library on the external hard drive just like it was on your main hard drive. If the external hard drive is not connected when you run Serato DJ Pro any files added from this drive will not display in your library. The library information for files on your external drive is stored on the external drive itself. This means if you add tracks on an external drive to your library and then plug. Luckily hard drives can be reformatted. If you are running a new Mac book Pro but your external hard drive is formatted to your old Windows PC (NTFS) then you will want to reformat the external drive to either Mac OS Extended or FAT32 so it can be both read and written to.

External Hard Drive For Mac

Sep 07, 2019 I recently bought an old macbook (running El Capitan) and wanted to mirror my mac mini (running High Sierra) itunes setup onto that. I know, I could just share itunes libraries over wifi, but I want to use the DJ software Serato and that only syncs with the itunes of the machine it's installed on. So, I bought a new external drive. Reconnect your Numark NS7III. Lowering the Maximum Screen Updates Per Second & Adjusting USB Buffer Size (Both Windows & Mac) Open Serato DJ. Click Setup from the top menu. Click Library + Display. Adjust the Display slider to 20 or 30. If you still experience clicks and pops after setting to 20UPS then try lowering the slider even lower.
